Beginner Test - HSK Test - Listening - Test 4 part I

Another HSK Basic test. As any HSK Basic test, this one is quite tough. But hey... it wasn't us who designed the test. The HSK basic test is geared towards those who have studied chinese for a year.
Even if you find it difficult we recommend you to try it. When learning a new language it is always better to struggle than to just take it easy. You will learn a lot more from it. But if you have absolutely no knowledge of chinese then we recommend that you listen to our beginner podcasts and try the beginner vocabulary and basics exercises.

This is Part I of our third HSK Listening test.The HSK Basic Listening test has 3 parts:

- Part I: Match picture with a sentence,
- Part II: In this part,you will hear someone talking or ask you a question, you need to select the most suitable answer to complete the dialogue
- Part III: you will hear a small dialogue between two people and you need to answer the question at the end of the dialogue.

This kind of test is great to improve both your vocabulary and your listening ability even if you don't intend to take the HSK exam. So please try it!

The tenth test in our series 'Learn Pinyin and Tones - Discrimination of tones' that tests your knowledge of pinyin and the ability to recognize different tones.

Pinyin is the most commonly used Romanization system for Standard Mandarin. Literally, it means to spell sound. It was designed to look up unknown Chinese characters in dictionaries, as well as teaching Chinese learners the standard pronunciation of Mandarin Chinese. Once you’ve learnt Pinyin, you will be able to pronounce any of the words in Mandarin using a Chinese dictionary.

The aim of this test is to test your knowledge of Hanyu Pinyin. The exercise set includes 10 questions, and each one contains a Pinyin sound with one relevant Pinyin character. Please listen to the sound and select the most appropriate answer from A, B, C and D. Repeat the exercise as much as you can. It will help you to learn how to distinguish the different pinyin tones.

For example, a question starting with A1 - XXXX refers to article number 1.

Advanced Test - HSK Test - Multiple Choice - Test 2

在这套练习题里,我们要学会区分“对”、“对于”、“对待”和“关于”的用法。
“对”“和”“对于”都表示动作行为所涉及的对象。在一般情况下,能用“对于”的地方都能改用“对”. 首先,“对”所保留的动词性较强,当“对”含有“对待”“向”等意思时,“对”不能换成“对于”,

其次,当“对”用在副词之后时,“对”不能换成“对于”。“关于”是限定、揭示关联到的人或事物范围的介词,有时可跟“对于”互换。如:“关于(对于)这个问题的处理意见,没有谁不同意。”

但“对”和“关于”又有明显区别:
第一,指出明确的对象,用“对于”,不用“关于”。如:“对于文化遗产,我们必须研究分析。”表示关涉,用“关于”,不用“对于”,如:“关于牵牛织女星,民间有个美丽的传说。”

第二,“对于”可用在句首,也可以用在句中,而“关于”只用在句首。如“我对于这件事的前因后果非常清楚。”不能说成:“我关于这件事的前因后果非常清楚。”

第三,“关于”有提示性质,用“关于”组成的介词结构,可以单独作文章的题目,如:“关于人生观”“关于散文”。用“对于”组成的介词结构,多作状语,一般不能单独作文章的标题。

HSK is a standardized test to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native Chinese speakers. Intermediate Test - HSK Test - Reordering - Test 1

The types of questions in this exercise set will be part of the HSK exam – reordering words. The main purpose of the test is to examine your knowledge about adjectives and verbs, to see whether you know how to apply them. How it works You will see a sentence with words in the wrong sequence. You need to drag the words into the correct sequence. If you have difficulties in completing the question, you can click on the hint button. But we would recommend that you don't if you want to keep the exercise challenging.
