Elementary Test - New HSK Test Level 1 - Test 1

This is the first test in the New HSK Level 1 Test series. This test contains 40 questions of which 20 test your listening skills and the remainder test your reading comprehension.

The new HSK level one is designed for learners with understating of 150 Chinese characters. They can understand and use some simple Chinese words and sentences for conversations and have the ability to continue their Chinese study. This HSK level one test contains two sections and it is approximate 40 minutes long, where it includes five minutes reading time, 30 minutes question time and five minutes to write answers on the answering sheet at the end of the exam.

1. Listening (20 questions and 15 minutes)

Part 1: listen to the phrase and decide whether the pictures are true or false
Part 2: listen to the sentence and choose the right pictures
Part 3: listen to the dialogue and choose the right pictures
Part 4: listen to the sentences and choose the right ansswers

2. Reading (20 questions and 15 minutes)

Part 1: choose the correct or the words or expression given
Part 2: choose the correct picture for the sentence given
Part 3: match the sentence
Part 4: choose the right words or expression to complete the sentence
